Reorganizing outcomes sites into Outcomes Central September 18, 2007
Posted by Paul Duignan in : Blog info , trackbackWe’ve just reorganized our outcomes sites to make them more accessible to users. Outcomescentral.org now lists and describes our integrated set of six outcomes sites - a one stop shop setting out just about everything one might want to know about outcomes. Outcomes theory - the concepts behind all outcomes systems; Systematic Outcomes Analysis - a comprehensive applied system for working with outcomes; DoView - outcomes software for working with outcomes and evaluation plans; Easy Outcomes - a user-friendly approach applying Systematic Outcomes Analysis using DoView; Outcomes Models - a collection of outcomes models (program logics, strategic maps, ends-means diagrams) you can download, play with, amend and use for your own projects; this Outcomes Blog you’re reading here - new thinking about outcomes, strategy and evaluation; and finally a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page which is designed to head you in the right direction to get what you want from our set of six integrated outcomes sites.
We hope you find these sites useful. The information on most of them is covered by a Creative Commons license - so we are happy for you to use it for most commercial and non-commercial purposes as long as you acknowledge the source of the information back to us. The plan is for us to keep inproving the sites to make them more useful for people working with outcomes, strategy, evaluation, monitoring and related fields. With the outcomes models site we’re also hoping to put up many examples of outcomes models in PDF and DoView file format so you can just grab a relevant model and get on with amending it to build an outcomes model which exactly suits your project. For instance, we’ve just put up an outcomes model for a Schools’ Sunsmart Acceditation Project based on some work we did for the Cancer Society - accrediting schools which meet a set of standards for protecting their pupils from excess sunlight in the summer months.
It would be great to hear any feedback you have about any aspect of these six sites. Please use the contact form on the Easy Outcomes site to let us know what you think.
